Overview

Begin on a high note in Denver, the “Mile High City” before retreating to the mountainous beauty of  Rocky Mountain National Park. It won’t be long before you’re in Yellowstone, visiting iconic natural wonders such as Old Faithful, Yellowstone Canyon and Mammoth Hot Springs. You’ll traverse through all manner of natural mountain environments, spotting elk, deer, buffalo and bear in Flathead Valley, Glacier National Park, and the Rocky Mountains themselves. Reconnect briefly with city life in Calgary where world class shopping, restaurants and entertainment are as abundant as the snowy peaks of the Rockies on the horizon. You’ll continue your journey through Canada’s Rockies, visiting the charming Banff and Canmore before settling for a moment at the pine-covered slopes of Lake Louise.  Adventure abounds with stops in metropolitan jewels such as Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland where you’ll trade the mountain vistas for fine dining and shopping experiences. You’ll then escape city living for stunning dune-lined seaside drives all the way into Redwood National Park. Drive down winding roads to discover sun-soaked Sonoma vineyards as you continue south into the heart of California. End your journey with one more metropolitan experience in San Francisco, where culture, fine restaurants and exciting nightlife await discovery. The Canadian city of Vancouver dazzles visitors with its impressive glass high rises nestled between the ocean and the mountains. You’ll be hugged by snow-capped mountains on all sides winding through British Columbia’s interior on Yellowhead Highway before emerging in Jasper National Park, a reserve full of glaciers, lakes and peaks. Get your camera ready for photo ops at the alpine jewel Lake Louise. You’ll cross the continental divide on your journey down into “Big Sky Country” for adventures in the Grand Teton Mountains including a visit to Craters of the Moon National Monument and an old fashioned American rodeo on Pendleton. Meander the long stretches of mountainous highway through two National Parks that stretch across both Canada and the US. More history awaits upon exploration of part of the Oregon Trail and areas of the historical great westward expansion, once home to bison and Blackfoot.

Welcome to Denver. With the impressive  Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, Den- ver effortlessly blends the city’s Old West  heritage with today’s modern skyscrap- ers and urban energy. Upon arrival at  Denver International Airport, transfer independently to your hotel where you will you will meet your Tour Director.
