Olivo

Olivo is situated three kilometres from the Martinborough Town Square on the road to Hinakura. The grove is sixteen acres in total: 11acres of olives and 5 acres of garden. It is situated at the top of the Martinborough gravels close to the vineyards. Olivo extra virgin olive oil uses only olives produced at its Martinborough grove. 

We welcome small groups, families and individuals to visit the olive grove and find out how award winning extra virgin olive oil is produced. We talk about the olive year and carry out tastings of the Olivo extra virgin and infused olive oils in our purpose built tasting room. The grove and tasting room is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Understand what happens to olive trees throughout the year. This is a personalised tour around the trees given by one of the owners on Sundays at 2pm. Personalised tours can be organised by arrangement with morning or afternoon tea included and the following tour is available at any time by appointment. Wander amongst the oldest olive trees in Martinborough, learning about the different olive varieties and what happens throughout the olive year. Progress to the tasting room where you will learn how to use extra virgin olive oil and the full range of infused oils in quick easy and spectacular recipes.
